Today's Farming Favourite is the Green belt in the Wetlands region of Eastern Kingdoms. The Green Belt is located near to the road up towards Grim Batol and is easily identifiable by the Orc's and Dragon type mobs battling together.

The black box is the approximate area we will be farming in.
Mobs:
  • Dragonmaw Whelpstealers
  • Ebon Slavehunters
Drops:
  • Greens
  • Linen Cloth
  • Wool Cloth
  • Silk Cloth
  • Recipes
  • World Drop Blue BoE
  • Vendor greys and whites
  • Gold
Pros:
  • Fast respawns
  • Easy to AoE down at higher levels
  • Gold can be doubled if you farm here using a skinner
Cons:
  • Many Alliance bases in the region so a slight Horde disadvantage.
  • Bags fill fast so regular vendoring or banking may be needed
As always, for Farming Favourites, I spent a specified period of time farming and at the end of that period, took a final count. I made sure that I monitored the gold earned carefully even though I had to use my vendor mount to empty my bags of the trash grey and white drops but this is reflected in the final figure.

I used a character with skinning and leatherworking to farm at the Green Belt.

Farming Time: 1 Hour

Gold:
  • Looted: 7g 21s 42c
  • Vendor gold: 5g 9s 72c
  • Total gold: 12g 31s 14c
Drops:
  • 1 BoE Blue - Feet of the Lynx (Good Twink Item)
  • 1 Transmog Green
  • 16 Vendor/DE Greens
  • 1 Shadowgem
  • 2 Moss Agate
  • 424 Linen Cloth
  • 53 Silk Cloth
  • 328 Wool Cloth
  • 1 Recipe: Elixir of Ogres Strength
Profession Related Loot:
  • 18 Light Hide
  • 15 Medium Hide
  • 1 Rugged Leather
  • 2 Thick Leather
  • 236 Light Leather
  • 214 Medium Leather
The green items disenchanted to:
  • 41 Strange Dust
  • 4 Greater Astral Essence
  • 1 Small Glimmering Shard
  • 4 Soul Dust
  • 3 Lesser Astral Essence.
Whilst the gold certainly isn't plentiful in hard coin drops at this location, the items you loot from the mobs certainly make up for this. Feet of the Lynx can sell for anywhere between 500g to 1500g depending on realm and demand. The cloth (and leathers if you farm on a skinner) can bring in a pretty penny too, with some realms seeing wool cloth sell for 30g-50g per stack.
